The Junior Deputy Baseball Program was founded in 1947 by Sheriff Tom Gulley. Since 1995, the Junior Deputy Babe Ruth Baseball Booster Club, Inc. has administered the Program. Throughout its existence, the Program has been operated solely for the benefit of the youth participating in its baseball leagues. As such, the board of directors periodically adopts policies for the benefit and protection of the participating youth. Listed below are general policies of the Program:
* Jr. Deputy is a volunteer organization. All coaches, commissioners and board members serve without compensation. Parents are expected to share in concession and scorekeeping duties. Additional participation in other areas is sincerely appreciated.
*All coaches, parents and players should exhibit good sportsmanship, showing respect to other players, coaches and umpires.
*Jr. Deputy is a tobacco free park. Please refrain from the use of tobacco products within the park.
*Jr. Deputy will not tolerate the use of alcohol on its premises.
*Out of respect for all players, coaches and teams, Jr. Deputy players are not allowed to participate on other baseball teams through the conclusion of the spring-summer season.
